Well it seems that 2020 has started quite differently in many ways.

Whilst it seems that the world is literally in lockdown we are busy working for clients albeit remotely and using lots of clever technology to help. We're fully connected to both staff and clients.

So, while we wait for this horrible situation to clear, we'll be here, working hard and making sure that our clients are supported in all of their marketing needs.

In the meantime let's celebrate being safe and secure in our homes. Stay in and perhaps do or learn something new. We could all come out of this with more skills than when we went in.

As the year ends...

So we've had another very busy year!

We are delighted to have been working with some amazing new clients and projects in 2019 - from brand design to brochure design and web and digital design.

As part of our plans for the future, we have been working on our own website (a design agency's most difficult project some say) and as part of that process, we will be incorporating this blog into the new design.

So, as we near the end of another exciting year at our graphic design agency, this post marks the end of this blog setup. You'll be able to find us over at our new website design in the first quarter of 2020.

Moonwalker meets Graphic Designer

50 years ago today Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon and 19 years ago we met at a book signing Florida. What an inspiration.

It's hard to imagine just how much courage and ingenuity was needed to get where the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions took humankind but it's equally hard to think of the world without having reached the moon.

Apollo was a program made up of the most creative and imaginative thinkers and doers - unrivaled until the advent of Space X which is bringing equal measures of 'can-do' attitude and pioneering sprit to again reach the moon and beyond.

It was literally creative thinking made visual.

Hello 2019. Where did 2018 go?

2018 turned out to be a very busy year for the Laban Brown Design Agency!

Product Brochure Design for Wendy Wu Tours
We began to work with some exciting new clients including Wendy Wu Tours where we created some stunning new brochure designs for their key product range. We worked closely with the marketing and management teams where we challenged their current thinking to establish some very creative and effective new design directions which are proving a great success and are already delivering excellent returns on the client's investment.

Brand Identity and Brochure Design for Countryside Properties
One of our favourite projects was the creation of the brand identity design, sales brochure design, product brochure design and site map design for the Meadow Rise development for Countryside Properties. The site, located in Braintree Essex, is a large new development of premium homes and required an effective logo and brand look and feel that represented its position in a countryside location.

Busy winning client pitches

Our year also included a number of creative pitch wins for brand identity design projects, corporate identity design projects, brochure design projects and website and digital design projects that for confidentiality reasons we are unable to share details of just yet but needless to say it is very exciting to be involved in such a prestigious projects.

Being so busy working for our amazing clients all year we have found little time to work on our self promotion. We understand that being a successful Design Agency that is busy working on a wide range of projects is not a bad problem to have of course!

However we have some exciting projects to kick off the New Year with so we'll keep a little more up-to-date with those as we go.

Briefs, Concepts and Pitches

So 2018 has started with a bang. So far we've enjoyed a wide range of projects to keep things interesting and we've began working with two new clients.

We have a strong history of working with clients from all areas of business - from recruitment and technology companies to construction and retail brands. This year we've been approached by some very interesting clients who have now added security, travel and a high profile sporting association to businesses that we work with.

It's the work that we create for our clients that means no two days are the same in the Laban Brown Design Studio. Some projects fly through and others take months of crafting, depending on the size of the deliverables required. Each is treated with the same care of attention which is something that our clients love.

In the last couple of weeks we have created corporate brochures for a Telford Homes, HTML email campaigns and a family of brochures for recruitment business O'Neill & Brennan, a brand identity for Crest Nicholson, an identity and website design and build for Tendring District Council's Community Safety Partnership and a range of book jacket designs for a publishers based in New York. All pretty varied and very exciting to work on.

2017 - Another Creative Year

It has been a while since we posted an update and that's simply down to us being so busy working to deliver measurable results for the many creative projects that we've been applying our diverse skills to. Which is a great thing.

We have again been delighted to experience another amazingly productive year working for our long-standing clients and also for some brilliant new clients that we have welcomed onboard in 2017.

From our design agency nestled in the Essex countryside we have been working diligently for a diverse range of businesses - from start-ups to major high street brands and everything in-between. Distance as always has proven to be no obstacle with client office locations being as close as just a 15 minute drive away to far flung international locations such as Los Angeles and New York.

Typically an entire year can bring changes and 2017 has been no different. Changes have occurred along the way for both ourselves and our client's businesses - some planned, others surprises. We always embrace change as for us it has been proven to be a creative stimulant and often leads to unexpected new avenues and the meeting of new people that can bring great results for all concerned.

Looking back over the year as a whole we're proud to say that it has been another winner. We have worked on a wide range of branding projects, digital and web design projects and an ever increasing range of brochure designs and design for print. It is great to see our clients embracing print again to balance their online and digital marketing materials. It can be a very powerful thing and we fully leverage its power to sell and inform a broad marketplace.

Now as the design studio settles down for a well earned break, we find ourselves already looking forward to what amazing opportunities 2018 might bring us.

The power of Creative Brand Design

Our challenge was to create a brand and retail brand packaging for the introduction of the products into the UK (they are already a big player in the US and Asia markets). 

Our solution took the brand design to new levels - across retail packaging design, exhibition display design, a website design and into stores. We provided seamless integration of the visual style and ethos across all elements and created a brand that is proving to be delivering results.
